Only 30.9% of the population under 1 year in Kajiado County are immunised. Only 12.5% of the population has finished high-school, and a mere 55.4% can read and write. However, this is only the tip of the iceberg. Statistics on illegal practices such as early forced marriage and Female Genital Mutilation (FGM) are hard to obtain, but it is estimated that 73% of girls in Kajiado County have undergone FGM.
