Calling all aspiring travel filmmakers!

Volunteer Videographer Needed

We are seeking a volunteer videographer to travel with us to remote Kenya in November/December 2018. The position is unpaid, however we can assist in fundraising for flights and expenses.

We do not mind if you are an experienced videographer, or still a student at university, as long as you have the skills and the passion to succeed. As the expedition videographer you’ll need to be self motivated and resourceful, you’ll be working with the other volunteer managers, volunteers and local communities to capture moments, stories, and challenges of the projects we undertake.

You’ll be spending your time at both the fieldbase (CMEP’s in-country headquarters), and on the road travelling to and visiting CMEP’s community outreach and further-field projects taking photos and gathering footage of harrowing stories that impact the community such as HIV/AIDS, FGM, rape, and extreme poverty.

The videographer will assist us in:

  • assisting with and reviewing the project brief for creating a range of videos

  • undertaking the planning, filming and production of videos to share with stake holders at national and global level and to use as an advocacy tool

  • editing videos and providing the final product

Photos and video clips will be used for CMEP's communication, fundraising and programme materials.

This position is not for the faint hearted. Individuals will witness extreme poverty and saddening stories first-hand. But if you are looking to use your skills to assist the most needy in international development then look no further. This could be the first step in your international videographer career.
